I just went down this list on the official wiki: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_...ls_by_campaign

I went by area. Just because you could resign when you capped something, add a cap sig and then zone out again. That minimized the setup if you had to map around and lose henchies. Started in the hardest areas first and worked my way to the beginning. The Mapping Out tool helped immensely.

First, I made a capping build without secondary class and saved it to a template.
Then I went by area. First started with all Kourna areas and then Vabbi. Then headed over to Factions. Some skills could be captured from WiK bosses in Prophecies. I used a german tool called Visions to check all captured elites, but I assume the Mapping Out tool performes the same.

In the end, some Prophecies skills were missing that could only be obtained in the missions, as well as some bosses in The Desolation/Realm of Torment of Nightfall. I always save all my tomes from playing in hard mode, so I used these to avoid playing the longer Prophecies missions over and over again until that boss appears. Or digging my way through the end of Nightfall.

very good time for a few early bosses: 1 min
good time for a boss: 3-5 min
fair time for a boss later on: 10 min
needs a tome: more than 15 min

I divided by campaign, then sub divided into classes (make sure you've completed all games before, and having every single outpost helps). So basically, I started in Cantha, did all Nec skills, then War, then Ranger etc. So just go on wiki's Elite Skills list and open a new tab for each skills by profession, and find the boss with the shortest distance to spawn location. I did Cantha, then NF, then Tyria. Think I used 1 elite tome in Tyria to cap Greater Conflagration cos it's a pain in the ass. Good luck! It's a fun title My fave definitely

More than one way to skin a cat. I felt it made sense to cap skills by area. You become more effecient each time you re-enter to get a different elite, since you have already looked at the map and the enemy list on wiki, and re-familiarized yourself with the terrain and spawns, etc.

I tried going by area, but quickly got annoyed by recurring elites, and i switched to doing it by profession and just going down the list on wiki ticking them off

Pretty much what I did. I printed off the list from wiki and crossed them off as I capped them by profession mostly. Some areas you can bring 2 cap sigs for both your core and 2nd profession. I also think I used faction and tomes for 1 or 2 skills as they were way out of the way in Proph and with random boss spawns there I didn't want to mess with it.

It's a fun title, enjoy and good luck!

Hey everyone. Great suggestions.

Since I have all the core skills, what I find to be the easiest is capping by area, so, as someone mentioned, I'm not mapping all over the place and changing my henchmen/hero setup. Most bosses, fortunately, are pretty easy to get to, for the more difficult I'll use tomes as suggested.

I've started with Factions and will move on to Elona and then Tyria. Although, if I'm doing something in a particular area (like a vanq with guildies etc...) I'll go ahead and cap if there's a skill I need.

I tried to download MappingOut, but none of the files I click on seem to be valid. Getting error message that the file/website doesn't exist. Whatever. I'll keep looking. I"m sure there's a new link posted on the community area of Guru.

*sigh* Working my way to GWAMM...

Here's the working link for MappingOut

Like many other people I used it for my skill hunting, it's by far the best tool out there.
